The Doctor goes under cover this week, coming face to face not only with the terrifying Skovox Blitzer, but also with Clara’s love interest Danny Pink. Designer Stuart Manning drew influences from the 50s, 60s and 70s to create his poster for episode six, The Caretaker…
"Writer Gareth Roberts’ episodes have a wonderful sense of unfussiness about them, which somehow feels very seventies to me," says Stuart. "So that was the starting point – blocky fonts and simple, chunky shapes. I also wanted to pick up on the theme of overlapping relationships after-hours, but in a tongue in cheek way, which inspired the silhouettes. So film noir meets Abigail’s Party seemed to fit the bill nicely."
Someone at work was just giving these away. I couldn’t resist.
"Biting’s excellent. It’s like kissing only there’s a winner"
So very happy with this. This has been my evening but so worth it.
Not technically written as most sentences are but it still kind of works.
"Time and Relative Dimension In Space"
I wanted to do a longer phrase. I’ve got a second phrase on the go that I’ll probably put up this evening after YAT.
R2-D2 would make an amazing companion for the Doctor
